The DeLisle laboratory is located in Portage, Michigan. It was established in 1985, and has strived to meet and exceed our client's expectations. DeLisle asbestos bulk sample analysts are trained by the McCrone Research Institute, and have over 24 years of experience in the analysis of asbestos bulk samples.
DeLisle participates in an external Round Robin AIHA Proficiency Analytical Testing (PAT) program for analysis for airborne fiber samples, as well as the AIHA Asbestos Analyst Registry for qualification to analyze airborne fiber samples on-site.
All of our Phase Contrast Microscopy analysts have successfully completed a NIOSH-582 equivalency course to analyze air samples. All analysts participate in an inter-laboratory and external round robin samples exchange program for quality assurance.
DeLisle's laboratory can perform a variety of analysis from;
- Asbestos in Building Material
- Fine Particle/Fiber Analysis
PHASE CONTRAST MICROSCOPY (PCM)
Phase contrast microscopy (PCM) is used to determine fiber concentrations in air. All asbestos analyses are performed in strict compliance with the NIOSH 7400 Method, counting rules A. DeLisle's PCM laboratory participates in the AIHA Proficiency Analytical Testing program.
POLARIZED LIGHT MICROSCOPY (PLM)
Polarized light microscopy (PLM) is used to determine asbestos fiber concentrations in bulk materials. PLM is applicable to the analysis of building survey submissions and other bulk materials. In addition, it is used to determine asbestos concentrations in soil by California Method 435 and in building materials by NESHAP methods.
