First Responder Awareness Level Course

This course satisfied requirements under the Occupational Safety and Health Administration's 29 CFR 1910.120 (q) regulation. Individuals who fall under the requirements for this training include:

1. Individuals who are likely to witness or discover a hazardous substance release and who have been trained to initiate an emergency response sequence by notifying the proper authorities of the release. They would take no further action beyond notifying the authorities of the release.

Topics include:

1. Hazard Communication
2. First Responder Roles and Responsibilities
3. Incident Prevention
4. Emergency Response Plans As They Relate To A First Responder
5. Department of Transportation and The Emergency Response Guidebook
6. Hazard Evaluation and Control

Includes manuals, test and certificate).
Duration: 1/2 day (4 hours)
