CONFINED SPACE ENTRY
This course satisfies the requirements of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration ‘s 29 CFR 1910.146. Individuals who fall under the requirements for this training include:

Individuals in the municipal water and sewer departments, who access manholes, lift stations, or vaults.

Construction tradesmen who repair, maintain, or install electrical systems, heating, ventilation, or boiler systems, computer wiring, or affiliated systems, as well as excavators and various individuals who are required to enter pits, ponds, or impoundment's four feet or more below grade.

Maintenance personnel required to access air handing units or in areas or equipment that could potentially satisfy requirements for confined spaces.

- Personal Protective Equipment
- Respiratory Protection
- Monitoring
- Lockout/Tagout
- Ventilation
- Pre-Planning and A Brief Overview of Emergency Procedures (does not constitute rescue training)
- Confined Space Entry
- Related Hands-on Components
This Course also includes a comprehensive overview of the positions required in a confined space entry team, as well as the responsibilities of each member of the team. The permit system, as well as the proper way to evaluate, classify, declassify, and identify confined spaces and ermit required spaces would be addressed. A component for alternate entry is also included on a discussion of site specific programs that can be integrated into this course.
Duration: One 8-hr. day
