16 HOUR ASBESTOS MANAGEMENT PLANNER


This Course is a required discipline approved by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and is conducted following requirements under the Module Accreditation Plan (MAP). It is also, strictly regulated by the State of Michigan, Department of Consumer and Industry Services, Department of Occupational Health/Asbestos Division. Individuals who are required to have this level of training and receive accreditation include:

  1. All individuals who prepare management plans for schools.

  2. A pre-requisite for this accreditation is the person wishing the management planner accreditation must also have a valid inspector's certification. For this reason, the inspector initial usually is taken prior to or within the same week as the inspector's course.

  1. A Course Overview
  2. How to Evaluate and Assess the Inspection Results
  3. Hazard Assessments
  4. Legal Implications
  5. Evaluation and Selection of Control Options
  6. Role of Other Professionals
  7. Developing an Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Plan
  8. Regulatory Review and Record Keeping Requirements

In addition, exercise on how to assemble and submit a management plan will be relayed.

Includes manuals, test and certificate.
Duration: Two-8hr. days.
